  • Alucleaner ZN 211

    Acid degreaser

    Alucleaner ZN 211 is a liquid acid degreaser based on mineral acids and highly effective wetting agents designed to remove grease, soil and other impurities (refrigeration, antioxidants, lubricants) deposited on the surface during production or assembling of the item. The innovative and balanced formula allows to work at room temperature while ensuring complete cleaning of the material, facilitating the next phase of pickling without the need of a rinsing tank between degreasing and pickling.

  • Alucleaner ZN 214

    Alkaline etching degreaser

    Alucleaner ZN 214 is a highly alkaline liquid degreaser, specially formulated for degreasing and etching aluminium and its alloys, including aluminium coils. Alucleaner ZN 214 does not contain surfactants or phosphates and is indicated for spray applications or immersion. Its balanced formula, combined with an excellent rinsing capacity, does not create deposits on ramps, nozzles and tanks.

  • Alucleaner ZN 216

    Alkaline liquid degreaser

    Alucleaner ZN 216 is an alkaline liquid degreaser, suitable for degreasing metals also in electrolytic processes. It does not contain surfactants and must be added to Alucleaner 400 A or 400 B, according to the chosen application.

  • Alucleaner ZN 219

    Alkaline degreaser

    Alucleaner ZN 219 is a new liquid degreaser, formulated to degrease ferrous material in hot-dip galvanizing processes. The product is totally free from both silicates and borates and is characterized by low foaming. In the presence of particularly dirty materials (oil or grease), it is recommended to add 1 g/l of the additive Alucleaner ZN 219/1.

  • Aluinhibitor ZN 221

    Corrosion inhibitor and fume suppressant

    A HDG plant has more than one pickling tank: the most common acid is hydrochloric acid, but also sulphuric or hydro fluoric acids are used. To prevent overpickling, an inhibitor of corrosion is added to the pickling bath. Aluinhibitor ZN 221 is an inhibitor of the corrosion caused by the acid on the surface during pickling. Aluinhibitor ZN 221 not only reduces steel corrosion and fumes but it also saves the steel from hydrogen embrittlement, which occurs when atomic hydrogen produced by the introduction of the acids, diffuses into the lattices of the metal and strains it. The result is brittleness at the molecular level.

  • Aluzinc ZN 231

    Powder fluxant

    Aluzinc ZN 231 is a double salt zinc ammonium chloride in solid form and is used for make-up and replenishment of the fluxing bath in hot-dip galvanizing. Aluzinc ZN 231 is used after pickling operations to prevent oxidation of the ferrous material before it enters the zinc bath. After pickling and during transfer to the next stage, a very thin oxide layer forms on the surface as a reaction to oxygen: the oxide layer does not change the appearance of the metal surface but must be removed in order to get quick and complete wetting of the steel in the following zinc bath. 

  • Aluzinc ZN 232

    Liquid fluxant

    Aluzinc ZN 232 is a liquid double salt zinc ammonium chloride used for make-up and replenishment of the fluxing bath in hot-dip galvanizing. Aluzinc ZN 232 is used after pickling operations to prevent oxidation of the ferrous material before it enters the zinc bath. After pickling and during transfer to the next stage, a very thin oxide layer forms on the surface as a reaction to oxygen: the oxide layer does not change the appearance of the metal surface but must be removed in order to get quick and complete wetting of the steel in the following zinc bath. The liquid Aluzinc ZN 232 has the following advantages if compared to a powder product:

    • safer working conditions: no powder inhalation;
    • easier handling;
    • decreasing of ashes in the galvanizing plant;
    • no solubility problems;
    • no plastic bags waste.
  • Aluzinc ZN 233

    Wetting agent

    Aluzinc ZN 233 is a special wetting agent designed to ensure a better wettability of the fluxing bath. This characteristic allows the fluxing salt to cover even a not perfectly cleaned surface. The higher fluidity of the solution allows a homogeneous distribution, better draining and lower consumption of the salt.

    Temporary passivation of galvanized steel

    Alucoat ZN 251 is a water-soluble passivating agent for hot galvanized steel to prevent the formation of “white rust” during storage and transport in humid environments.

  • Alucoat ZN 252

    Passivation for galvanized steel

    Alucoat ZN 252 is a passivator for galvanized steel, completely free from hexavalent chromium and fluorides. The product can be used by immersion, spray or roller application. Alucoat ZN 252 guarantees a corrosion resistance that exceeds common market standards.

  • Alucoat ZN 255

    “Gold” passivating agent for zinc

    Alucoat ZN 255 is a one-component liquid system developed for the treatment of galvanized material. The iridescent yellow conversion layer offers high resistance to corrosion and white salts, and is an excellent base for coating. Under normal conditions, Alucoat ZN 255 does not require the addition of acid either in formation nor in feeding.
