Aluservice offers specific products for the pre-treatment and anodization of aluminium, an electrochemical process which allows to create a layer that guarantees greater protection of the substrate and improved resistance to corrosion. The Aluservice range includes solutions for degreasing, etching, brightening, desmutting, oxidation, colouring, sealing and cleaning.

  • Alucleaner 12

    Acid degreasing additive

    The superficial oxides on certain types of aluminium alloys are better degreased in acid medium, like sulphuric or nitric acids. However, these acids do not have the wetting, emulsifying and sequestering characteristics needed for good degreasing. This is why Alucleaner 12 was formulated. Alucleaner 12 is a balanced mixture of emulsifiers, wetting agents, sequestering agents, dispersants and anticorrosive agents, especially formulated as an additive to sulphuric acid to improve its degreasing properties.

  • Alucleaner 15

    Alkaline degreaser

    Alucleaner 15 is a new light etching degreaser, supplied in powder and especially formulated for cleaning aluminium, aluminium alloys and iron, both by spray and immersion. It is neither silicate nor boron based and, due to its low foaming characteristics, it may be used with air agitation when used in immersion with obvious advantages in shortening the degreasing time. Alucleaner 15 slightly attacks the aluminium surface and prepares it to the following deoxidising and green or yellow conversion.

  • Alucleaner 16

    Neutral degreaser

    Alucleaner 16 is a non-etching degreaser, supplied in powder form and especially formulated for cleaning aluminium and aluminium alloys. It is free of boron salts and silicates and, due to its low foaming characteristics, it may be used in air agitated operations, with obvious advantages in shortening the degreasing time. While Alucleaner 16 does not reduce brightness of aluminium, and is suited to be used on polished extrusions and surfaces, it has the capability of cleaning and removing oils, drawing and pressing lubricants and buffing compounds used in the processing of aluminium. This versatility is due to its exceptional surfactant system, which allows Alucleaner 16 to be as effective as a heavy duty cleaner.

  • Alucleaner 18

    Neutral liquid degreaser

    Alucleaner 18 is a new neutral liquid degreaser especially formulated for cleaning aluminium and aluminium alloys. It is not silicate or boron based and, due to its low foaming characteristics, it may be used in air agitated baths, thus shortening the degreasing time. While Alucleaner 18 does not reduce brightness of aluminium, and is recommended for use on polished extrusions and surfaces, it has the capability of cleaning and removing oils, drawing and pressing lubricants and buffing compounds used in the processing of aluminium. This versatility is due to its exceptional surfactant system, which allows Alucleaner 18 to be as effective as a heavy duty cleaner.

  • Alumat 22A

    Long-life etching additive

    Alumat 22A is a liquid long life aluminium etching additive developed to produce a very smooth, satin grey finish of superior quality. The special formulation of Alumat 22A reduces drag-out from the etch tank, consequently allowing its aluminate concentration of the tank to rise from 450 g/l, common with long life etches, to 550 g/l and over. At these very high aluminate concentrations the finish obtained is extremely fine. The viscosity of an Alumat 22A-based solution is much lower than standard ones, even at such high aluminate concentration levels. As a consequence, entrapment and foam are reduced considerably: this allows for bigger batch loads.  The drag-out is much smaller than usual and the enhanced rinsing features of the solution provide a fast cleaning of the profiles without spot stains caused by dry causticity.

  • Alumat 23D

    Acid etching additive

    Alumat 23D is an additive for the preparation of a high-performance acid satin finish. The satin finish thus prepared has a high levelling power of scratches and extrusion lines, even on aluminium alloys which, due to their impurities, normally give satin finishing problems.

  • Alumat 24

    Long-life liquid etching additive

    Alumat 24 is a long-life etching additive, developed to meet the demand for a very fine, high quality, matt finish. Alumat 24 combines the levelling power with the removal of scratches and extrusion lines, making brushing superfluous in some cases even on aluminium alloys which, due to their impurities, give satin finishing problems with the products normally in use. The particular formulation of Alumat 24 considerably reduces the dragging of the solution. Consequently, the concentration of the aluminate rises to over 650 g/l. The viscosity of the solution is, despite the high concentration of aluminate, much lower than in traditional baths. The escape of the reaction gases is facilitated, thus allowing to treat a greater surface. The greater fluidity of the solution considerably reduces dragging, the risk of dripping and the increase in the volume of the liquid.

  • Alumat 24A

    Liquid long-life etching additive

    Alumat 24A is a liquid long-life aluminium etching additive developed to produce a very smooth, satin grey finish of superior quality. Alumat 24A combines the levelling power with the removal of scratches and extrusion lines, making the brushing in some cases unnecessary even on aluminium alloys which, due to their impurities, give etching problems with the products normally used. Its special formulation reduces drag-out from the etch tank, consequently allowing the aluminate concentration of the tank to rise from 450 g/l, common with long life etches, to 650 g/l and over. The viscosity of the solution is much lower than standard ones, even at such high aluminate concentration levels.   • Alumat 25

    Long-life etching additive

    Alumat 25 is an extended long-life aluminium etch additive solution for use in conjunction with caustic soda (solid or liquid) to produce a smooth, satin grey finish as required by the architectural anodising industry. The "extended long life" aspect of the process means that the frequent, periodic ditching of etch tanks can be eliminated. This means increased production due to less down time and a greater consistency of finish results from the operation of the extended life bath once equilibrium has been attained.

  • Alumat 28

    Long-life etching additive

    Alumat 28 is a long-life etching additive that provides a very fine, metallic-like finish, with an excellent levelling power of scratches and extrusion lines even on aluminium alloys which, due to their impurities, can cause problems in satin finishing. In addition, Alumat 28 allows extremely fast pickling of already oxidized profiles at the same concentration conditions used for satin finishing.

    Long-life etching additive

    Alumat 28A is a long-life etching additive solution for use in conjunction with liquid or solid caustic soda, which produces a smooth, metallic finish. The etching bath based on Alumat 28A and caustic soda eliminates all die lines and imperfections obliterated from commercially acceptable extrusions. The bath will produce consistent results with a wide range of aluminium alloys.

  • Alumat 29

    Long-life liquid etching additive

    Alumat 29 is a complete long-life etching additive, developed to meet the demand for a very fine, high-quality matt finish, with good levelling power of scratches and extrusion lines, even on aluminium alloys which, due to their impurities, can cause satin finishing problems with the products normally in use. Its particular formulation considerably reduces the dragging of the solution and allows the aluminate concentration to rise up to 500 g/l, making the surface very fine and opaque. The viscosity of the solution is, despite the high concentration of aluminate, much lower than in traditional baths. The escape of the reaction gases is facilitated, thus allowing a larger surface to be treated. The greater fluidity of the solution considerably reduces the risk of dripping.

  • Alumat 29A

    Long-life etching additive

    Alumat 29A is a liquid extended long-life aluminium etching additive formulated to produce a very smooth, satin grey finish of superior quality. The special formulation of Alumat 29A reduces drag-out from the etch tank, consequently allowing its aluminate concentration to rise from 450 g/l, common with long life etches like Alumat 25, to 550 g/l and over. At these very high aluminate concentrations the finish obtained is extremely fine. The viscosity of an Alumat 29A-based solution is much lower than standard ones even at such high aluminate concentration levels. As a consequence, entrapment and foam are also reduced considerably: this allows for bigger batch loads, as far as 30% larger than expected by the physical size of the tank. The drag-out is much smaller than usual and the enhanced rinsing features of the solution provide a fast cleansing of the profiles without spot stains caused by dry causticity.

    Alubrill 94 is an innovative and ecological product developed for electrolytic brightening of aluminium and stainless steel. Although it is environmentally friendly (only normal air suction on the tank is needed) the brightness level is absolutely comparable to other products containing chromium.

    Desmut additive

    Aludeox 52A is an additive to sulphuric acid to prepare a desmut solution to be used after chemical brightening. It does not contain chromium or other toxic salts and can be used instead of nitric acid with excellent desmutting results.

    Desmut additive

    Aludeox 52B is a new liquid product developed to be used for desmutting aluminium and its alloys after chemical brightening. Aludeox 52B does not contain chromium or other toxic salts and can be used instead of nitric acid with excellent desmutting results.

  • Aludeox 52C

    Desmut additive

    Aludeox 52C is a new liquid product developed to be used as desmutting aluminium and its alloys after chemical brightening or chemical etching before anodizing. Aludeox 52C does not contain chromium/nitrates or other toxic salts and can be used instead of nitric acid with excellent desmutting results. The product is indicated in a particular way to eliminate the deposits of copper after the chemical brightening.

  • Aludeox 55

    Desmut additive

    Aludeox 55 is an additive to be added to sulphuric acid to prepare a desmut solution to be used after etching. It does not contain chromium or other toxic salts and can be used instead of nitric acid with very good desmutting results.

  • Aludeox 55C

    Anti pitting additive to sulphuric acid

    Aludeox 55C is desmut additive to sulphuric acid to be used after etching so to avoid rinses before the anodising. It is particularly suitable for water with high content of chlorides. Aludeox 55C does not contain chromium or other toxic salts and can be used instead of nitric acid with very good desmutting results.  

  • Aludeox 55H

    Desmut - anticorrosive additive

    Aludeox 55H is an additive to be added to sulphuric acid to prepare a desmut solution. The prepared bath solution with Aludeox 55H is used after etching or an attack in soda and does not require to be rinsed before anodic oxidation. Aludeox 55H is especially indicated where the water contains a high concentration of chlorine. There are no corrosion problems if the batch remains for a longer period in the bath. Aludeox 55H does not contain chromium or other toxic salts and can be used instead of nitric acid with very good desmutting results.

  • Aluox 56 ACT

    Corrosion inhibitive additive

    Aluox 56 ACT is a product of the "ACT" line developed by Aluservice that inhibits the attack of the oxide after sealing in both acid and alkaline fields. The particular resistance (pH 13.5) makes the product suitable for the standards for the automotive sector (FCA, Mercedes, VW, BMW, ecc.) while that to acid juices (vinegar, lemon, mustard etc.) makes it suitable for contact with foods.

  • Aluox 57

    Anodising improver additive

    It has always been one of the most sought-after goals for anodisers to improve the hardness and wearability of the anodic oxide without increasing costs. Many additives have shown the possibility of improving the quality of the oxide, the most common being Oxalic acid, but all are too expensive or give correlated problems. Aluox 57 improves the oxide quality, but pays for itself or even makes money for the customer. It protects the surface of the product from the heat of the exothermic reaction that develops during the anodising phase. Drastically reducing the reattachment of sulfuric acid on the anodised surface, especially in the presence of copper and zinc, it also prevents pitting from corrosion.

  • Aluox 57 ACT

    Additive to increase resistance to corrosion

    Aluox 57 ACT considerably improves the quality of the oxide without increasing the overall management costs. Thanks to Aluox 57 ACT, in class II and III oxidation processes, it is possible to increase corrosion resistance and hardness.

  • Aluox FS1

    Fume suppressor

    Aluox FS1 is a filtration system of the oxidation solution, which limits the aerosol effect of the tank, controlling the reaction which develops from the cathode to the anode and making it completely odourless. The operator can work in suitable hygienic conditions even without an efficient suction system, without modifying his working method in any way and without causing any issue to the quality of the anodic layer.

    Tin based electrocolouring solution

    The electrocolouration of aluminium with systems based on tin sulphate is now the most common system worldwide. In fact, it combines good resistance to atmospheric agents with very high productivity, which makes it possible to electrocolour wet surfaces without reducing the area compared to the natural finish. The Alucolor 35 system developed by Aluservice uses advanced and ecologically acceptable additives, free of phenol or phenol derivatives. It yields a set of brilliant reproducible colours, with great uniformity and penetration, even with large loads. 

  • Alucolor 38

    Tin based electrocolouring system

    The electrocolouration of aluminium with systems based on tin sulphate is now the most common system worldwide. In fact, it combines good resistance to atmospheric agents with very high productivity, which makes it possible to electrocolour wet surfaces without reducing the area compared to the natural finish. Alucolor 38 is a complete tin based electrocolouring system which uses advanced and ecologically acceptable additives. It yields a set of brilliant reproducible colours, with great uniformity, penetration and no green or grey tinge. This system is free of phenol or phenol derivatives. The colouring takes place in a diluted acid solution of stannous sulphate, to which are added the necessary additives which give it stability, throwing power, homogeneous colouring and a certain resistance against pollution of the bath.

  • Alucolor 38A

    Stabilizer for tin based electrocolouring system

    The electrocolouration of aluminium with systems based on tin sulphate is now the most common system worldwide. In fact, it combines good resistance to atmospheric agents with very high productivity, which makes it possible to electrocolour wet surfaces without reducing the area compared to the natural finish. Alucolor 38A is a tin based electrocolouring system which uses advanced and ecologically acceptable additives like Alucolor-38A. It yields a set of brilliant reproducible colours, with great uniformity, penetration and no green or grey tinge. Alucolor 38A has been developed for those who prefer using solid or liquid tin sulphate plus additive and sulphuric acid instead of a complete compound.

  • Alucolor 41

    Electro colour

    Alucolor 41 is an electro colour that produces colours ranging from light pink to black.

  • Alucolor 42

    Bronze electrocolouring

    Alucolor 42 is an electro colour that reproduces bronze colours traditionally obtained with permanganate and a cobalt salt. The most evident advantage of Alucolor 42 is a higher light fastness and the possibility to reduce the tanks from 5 to 2.

  • Alucolor 43

    Gold electrocolouring

    Alucolor 43 is an electro colour that produces light to medium golden shades. The colourings are distinguished by their good light resistance. Alucolor 43 has a high stability, good reproducibility of colour and simple maintenance.

  • Alucolor 54N

    Inorganic gold colour

    Alucolor 54N allows to obtain a gold colour on anodised aluminium by immersion in a ferric oxalate solution. This immersion produces a hydrolysis of the metal inside the anodic coating and gives metallic compounds with a high lightfastness and an excellent stability to weathering decolouration.

  • Alucolor Black NP

    Dyestuff for anodic oxide coatings

    Alucolor Black NP is a new black organic dyestuff developed to achieve jet-black tones for colouring low thicknesses (6 – 15 μm) of anodic oxide coatings. This dyestuff is a free flowing, black dye powder, easy to disperse and water-soluble.  All conventional, usual seal processes can be used on dyeings of Alucolor Black NP.

    Antibacterial cold sealing

It can also be added to the one already in use without downloading the solution. The advantage of the new formulation is that it prevents the formation of germs and bacteria. The sanitizing product penetrates deep into the pore like cold sealing (5-7 microns): this allows to obtain an antibacterial effect that lasts as the oxide itself. The working operations of cold sealing remain the same.

  • Aluseal 62 C ACT

  • Aluseal 62

    Cold sealing

    Aluseal 62 is a high nickel content green powder cold sealing with a slight colour correction system to avoid green tint on treated profiles. The use of Aluseal 62 allows an almost total saving of energy costs, as the operating temperature is between 20° C and 30° C. It also allows the reduction of sealing time between 50% and 70%, eliminating the possible bottleneck often caused by traditional sealing. Furthermore, it guarantees an improvement in quality as the resistance to accelerated corrosion is higher than that obtained with traditional sealing, and the hardness of the oxide layer is greater. Aluseal 62 totally eliminates the dust, with consequent saving of manpower for cleaning, as well as the vapours of the fixing tank.

    Cold sealing

    Aluseal 62C is a new product with a high concentration of nickel, with a new colour correction system, which makes the product brownish to avoid the greenish tint given by nickel fluoride with high oxide thickness.

  • Aluseal 62CF

    Cold sealing ideal for hard water

    Aluseal 62CF is a product with a high concentration of nickel, with a new colour correction system, which makes the product brownish to avoid the greenish tint given by nickel fluoride with high oxide thicknesses. Furthermore, the balanced ratio of nickel and fluorides in favour of the latter allows to work with hard water without any further additions of fluorides.

  • Aluseal 63

    Liquid cold sealing

    The advantages of cold sealing are well known and appreciated by the anodisers. This process is also approved from QUALANOD. Aluseal 63 has the same technical characteristics as all solid Auservice cold sealing chemicals but has a buffered fluorine activity. 

  • Aluseal 63C

    Liquid cold sealing with colour corrector

    The advantages of cold sealing are well known and appreciated by the anodizers. This process by the meantime is also approved from QUALANOD. Aluseal 63C has the same technical characteristics as all solid Auservice cold sealing chemicals but has a buffered fluorine activity. 

  • Aluseal 64

    Cold sealing

    Aluseal 64 is a brown powder cold sealing with a colour correction system to avoid green tint on treated profiles. In the cold sealing or impregnation processes, Aluseal 64 joins the well tested Aluseal 62, of which it retains all the technical characteristics, distinguishing itself by the absence of the greenish colour at high thicknesses.

  • Aluseal 65

    Liquid pre-seal

    Aluseal 65 is a liquid pre-seal product, specifically developed to avoid the phenomenon of "bleeding" (loss of colour) of organic dyes. After pre-sealing, a hot or cold sealing is followed.

  • Aluseal 65B

    Solid pre-seal

    Aluseal 65B is a solid pre-seal with the same characteristics as Aluseal 65.

  • Aluseal 66

    Anti-bloom hot water sealing additive

    Aluseal 66 is a liquid sealing additive, without nickel salts, which avoids smut formation on the surface during hot water sealing, leaving a clean and brilliant surface, even after chemical brightening. If added to de-ionised water the sealed aluminium passes easily international sealing tests (as ISO 3210 - dissolution test; ISO 2143 - drop test). In the recommended conditions the bath based on Aluseal 66 lasts a long time, and this can be increased by filtration. Aluseal 66 has the added advantage over many similar products of not interfering with the sealing when overdosed.

  • Aluseal 69 MT

    Medium temperature and hot water sealing additive

    Aluseal 69 MT is a liquid sealing additive, not containing nickel salts, which – differently from common anti-bloom compounds that tend to inhibit the sealing process –, increases resistance to abrasion and to the Clark test. The weight loss improves with time after sealing, in a way similar to what happens with cold sealing based on nickel fluoride, because hydrargillite is formed in the median layers of the oxide. For a desired thickness of 25 microns, the formation of boehmite in the external layer of the oxide results in a partial loss of hardness and consequent not passing of abrasion tests: this problem is solved by additives, like oxalic acid, or by reducing the anodizing temperature in the tank, both expensive solutions. Aluseal 69 MT does not necessitate these additions, as it improves hot sealing, helping the action of the hot water. Observing the optimum conditions of Aluseal 69 MT, the bath remains active for a long period and this can be increased by filtration. Unlike other similar products overdosing Aluseal 69 MT does not affect the quality of the sealing.

  • Aluseal 76G

    No-rinse protection

    Aluseal 76G is a liquid, organic product, free from heavy metals, designed for the protection of the anodic oxide layer, especially at a low thickness. Aluseal 76G is a hydrophobic no-rinse film-forming product that promotes the anti-binding and anti-fingerprint action, leaving the surface of the product smooth and clean. Using Aluseal 76G after the sealing process increases the alkali resistance.

  • Aluseal 76 PS

    Nickel-free pre-seal

    Aluseal 76 PS is a nickel salt-free liquid pre-seal product that works at room temperature, with a concentration of 8-15 g/l and an immersion time of 30-60 seconds.

    Cleaner for anodized aluminium

    Aluglit was developed for the cleaning and maintenance of anodized aluminium and etched stainless steel. The product is a paste with a neutral cleaning agent with abrasive effects: it allows intensive cleaning and, at the same time, protects the surface from atmospheric environment for a long time. Aluglit can be used for internal and external surfaces.

  • Aluglit Paint

    Cleaner for painted aluminium

    Aluglit Paint was developed for the cleaning and maintenance of painted aluminium, both powder and liquid coated. The product is a paste with a neutral cleaning agent and a low abrasive effect: this allows thorough cleaning and, at the same time, protects the surface from atmospheric environment for a long time. Aluglit Paint can be used for internal and external surfaces.
