Aluservice offers specific products for the pre-treatment of aluminium before coating, a fundamental process to ensure optimal and repeatable coating results. The Aluservice range includes solutions for degreasing, alkaline etching, acid deoxidation, chromium-based passivation, chromium-free passivation and paint stripping.

  • Alucleaner 14

    Preparation to passivation

    Alucleaner 14 can substitute the alkaline degreasing, alkaline etch and neutralisation phases, preparing the aluminium to yellow or green chromating in a single treatment.

  • Alucleaner 14D

    Preparation to passivation

    Alucleaner 14D can substitute the alkaline degreasing, alkaline etch and neutralisation phases with only one step, preparing the aluminium for passivation with a single treatment tank.

  • Alucleaner 14S

    Acid degreaser

    Alucleaner 14S is an acid degreaser designed for vertical coating systems. It is particularly efficient in dissolving oxides on the aluminium surface.

  • Alucleaner 13

    Alkaline degreaser

    Alucleaner 13 is a new liquid alkaline degreaser formulated for the degreasing of iron, aluminium, stainless steel and other metals. Alucleaner 13 contains non-foaming surfactants and it is particularly suitable for spray systems. Thanks to its balanced formulation and high rinsability, it does not create encrustations on ramps, tanks or nozzles.

  • Alucleaner 214

    Alkaline etching degreaser

    Alucleaner 214 is a liquid degreaser, highly alkaline, specially formulated for degreasing and etching aluminium and its alloys, including aluminium coils. It does not contain surfactants or phosphates and it is indicated for spray or immersion applications. The balanced formula of Alucleaner 214 combined with an excellent rinsing capacity does not create deposits on ramps, nozzles and tanks.

  • Aludeox 17D

    Deoxidizer

    Aludeox 17D is an acid deoxidizer designed to satisfy the new QUALICOAT recommendations, to prepare aluminium and its alloys for passivation. In fact, it uniformly attacks the treated surface, favouring the subsequent passivation operation. It can be used both in spray or immersion applications. 

  • Aludeox 17F

    Deoxidizer

    Aludeox 17F is a liquid deoxidizer specifically developed for use by spray or immersion in the pre-treatment of aluminium and its alloys before coating. It is particularly suitable for the deoxidation of die castings.

  • Aludeox 17H

    Deoxidizer

    Aludeox 17H is an acid etching deoxidizer especially designed to be used in spray or immersion applications, to prepare aluminium and its alloys for passivation. It uniformly attacks the treated surface, favouring the subsequent passivation operation.

  • Alucoat 71

    "Gold" conversion coating

    Alucoat 71 is a liquid, chromium based passivating agent consisting of Alucoat 71A for make-up and the replenisher Alucoat 71B. It has been developed to treat aluminium and its alloys. It creates a uniform yellow-gold conversion layer, which provides excellent corrosion resistance and paint bond properties to the substrate. It can be used by immersion or spray.

  • Alucoat 72

    “Gold” conversion coating

    Alucoat 72 is a two-pack liquid passivating agent developed for aluminium and its alloys, which creates a uniform yellow-gold conversion layer. It can also be used on zamak or die-cast material. The passivation colour will be green. Alucoat 72 can be used by immersion or spray and it provides excellent corrosion resistant and paint bond properties to the substrate.

  • Alucoat 75NC

    Aluminium passivation

    Alucoat 75NC is a two-components system developed for the treatment of aluminium and its alloys, which creates a colourless coating on the metal. The system can be used by spray or immersion, ensuring suitable protection and excellent paint adherence.

  • Alucoat 76F

    No rinse passivation

    Alucoat 76F is a liquid, organic product, free from heavy metals, designed for the final "no rinse" passivation of metal surfaces. It is particularly suited for the pre-treatment before coating of iron or zinc salts phosphate surfaces. Thanks to Alucoat 76F, it is possible to remove unreacted phosphates, which can cause adherence problems; increase the adhesion with the phosphate surface and the corrosion resistance of the coating film; inhibit the formation of any surface corrosion (flash rust) during the drying phases.

  • Alustripper 74

    Paint stripper

    Alustripper 74 is a paint stripper formulated to remove the polyester paint layer from aluminium. Epoxy-polyester paints with a low content of the epoxy component are also successfully removed. Alustripper 74 also works in immersion, at temperatures of 20-30°C. In addition, no toxic fumes are generated. The paint removed from the metal substrate accumulates on the bottom of the tank.

  • Alustripper 74E

    Paint stripper

    Alustripper 74E is a paint stripper based on methylene chloride and phenol, suitable for stripping iron, aluminium alloys and copper. The parts to be stripped are placed in fine mesh baskets which allow the detached paint to be removed from the tank. The paint stripping process takes place by immersion in a stainless-steel tank. Alustripper 74E removes most synthetic paints. Treatment times depend on the nature and thickness of the coating layer to be removed.

  • Alustripper 74R

    Iron paint stripper

    Alustripper 74R is a methylene chloride-based paint stripper with acid reaction, suitable for stripping iron, aluminium alloys and copper. The parts to be stripped are placed in fine mesh baskets which allow the detached paint to be removed from the tank. The paint stripping operation takes place by immersion in a stainless-steel tank. Alustripper 74R removes most synthetic paints. Treatment times depend on the nature and thickness of the coating layer.

  • Alustripper 76

    Steel stripper

    Alustripper 76 is used on coating plants to strip hooks and other steel items, placed in baskets. This operation is made in a stainless-steel tank and, to avoid evaporation of the solvent base of the product, a layer of 10 cm of water is added to the product. Time of immersion depends on the thickness of the paint film and can vary from 1 to 12 hours. The time is inferior when, for instance, there’s only one layer of paint (profiles) and increases if the layers are more (hooks and other items).
